Pork has long been king with the local consumer. Its greatest selling points are unmatched hygienic, safety, and taste. Beyond substantial export sales of fresh pork, Taiwan is also a producer of a wide selection of processed pork products. The most stringent health and safety standards have been put in place during both the production and distribution/marketing phases, to ensure the best in quality for the consumer. Exacting production and marketing records are kept, including tracking during transportation, refrigeration-container temperatures, packaging breakage and frost conditions.
